Cabine

Your DJ library, in one place, ready for any booth.

Works with Serato, Rekordbox and Mixed In Key. More to come.

For Macs with Apple Silicon, macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

One library, whatever software you play

Serato, Rekordbox and Mixed In Key each hold part of your library, and they don't agree. Cabine merges them into one, then sends it back out to each. Play a Pioneer club tonight and your Serato controller tomorrow, with the same library.

  1. In

Serato crates, Rekordbox playlists and Mixed In Key analysis, with their cues and grids. Or just drop in folders.

  2. One truth

When they disagree, clear rules decide which cue and grid win, and what you set in Cabine always wins. Your cues land on the same beat, whatever software you play.

  3. Out

Export back to Serato, or to Rekordbox for your CDJ USB stick. In Serato, only the cues you changed are written.

Fills the gaps. Keeps what you have.

Cabine fills in missing labels, catalog numbers, years, albums and genres from online music databases, and finds the right cover. It never changes a real value, and you approve every cover before it is written.

In a 300-track test, overwriting existing values fixed 16 tracks and broke 24. So Cabine only fills gaps.

Cues on the beat

Eight hot cues on a waveform you can zoom. Drag a cue and it snaps to the kick. Your edits go out to Serato and Rekordbox at your next export.

Hear the transition before the gig

Two decks, sync and a crossfader. Test Mix plays both tracks from their cue points. Cabine suggests what to play next based on key, BPM and energy, to help you find the best matches in your library.

The work around the music

Key and BPM detection

Tracks with no key or BPM get them after import, in Camelot. Detection only fills gaps: it never replaces a value from Mixed In Key, Serato, Rekordbox or you.

Repair broken files

Your DJ software tells you a file is corrupt. Cabine repairs it, then checks it again. Missing files are found again, cues included.

Take it to the booth

A Rekordbox XML for your CDJ USB stick. An offline page with your playlists for your phone. CSV and M3U for everything else.

Hand the tedious work to your AI agent

Everything you can do in Cabine is also a command, so any AI agent that can run commands on your Mac can work on your library with you. Tested with Claude Code. The built-in guide tells the agent to take a snapshot first, show you every change, and wait for your yes. Every change goes through the same checked write as the app.

To start, open Cabine and ask your agent to run the built-in guide.

Done this way on a real 3,600-track library

  • Promo-pool names in the label field replaced with the real label and catalog number, and 613 albums that only repeated the title filled in. 1,313 tracks, 0 write errors.
  • Genres cleaned up on 512 tracks, from 198 different genres down to 172.
  • A 50-track reggaeton crate researched on the web. 32 tracks matched to their real release, each one approved by hand.
  • A dry run over 886 tracks with gaps, a review list, and 228 approved changes written.

Safe, private, fast

It will not damage your library

Every tag write is tried on a copy and checked first. If anything changed that you did not ask for, Cabine refuses the write. Serato and Mixed In Key data survive every write.

A common tag library deleted 34 fields from 20 FLAC files and reported success. Cabine checks, and refuses.

Your library stays on your Mac

No account, no telemetry, no analytics. Nothing is sent to us. Online lookups run only when you ask.

Bug reports leave out paths and titles, and you decide whether to send them.

Built for speed, light on memory

Opens a 20,000-track library in about a second. Under half a gigabyte of memory with a 3,600-track library. A 79-minute mix plays as fast as a 3-minute track.

Measured on a 10-core Apple Silicon Mac.

Before you sign up

Will it damage my library?
Besides the checked writes, Cabine saves a snapshot of its database before each Serato or Rekordbox import, rescan, and enrichment of several tracks. Snapshots cover the library database, not your audio files.
Will it still exist in two years?
Your library is not locked in. Cabine exports back to Serato and Rekordbox, and writes clean tags into your files, so your DJ software reads them without Cabine.
Does it send my data anywhere?
Not to us. Tag and cover lookups send track details (artist, title, album, label, year, ISRC) to the online databases they search, only when you ask.
What will it cost?
Cabine will be a one-time purchase, with no subscription. The price is not set yet.
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple Silicon and macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Cabine reads mp3, AIFF, WAV and FLAC files.
